The Pioneers Earned Fourth At The Conference Championship

Webster, NY- The Alfred State men's swimming and diving team tallied a fourth overall finish at this seasons conference championship. The Pioneers finished second in the AMCC.

Jack Friedah tallied a fifth-place finish in the 200 breast after touching the wall in 1:58.90.

Then in the A-Final of the 100 free the Pioneers had four top-10 finishes. Parker Brod edged out his teammate Gregg Wenhold for fourth after touching the wall in 48.26.  John Cadden notched an eighth-place finish, while Fred Ginder came in 10th.

Both Stuart Yates and Derek Mrachko made it to the A-Finals of the 200 breast. Yates was able to take home seventh with a 2:11.54, while Mrachko came in ninth with a 2:16.79.

Ricky Villarreal notched a podium finish in the 200 fly with a time of 1:55.67. Pat Roberts followed with a sixth-place finish and Dominic Mintz came in ninth.

In the final event of the weekend, the team of Brod, Yates, Villarreal, and Friedah tallied a sixth-place finish in the 400 free relay.

Conor Compton won Allegheny Empire Diver of the meet as well as AMCC Diver of the Meet.
