Compton Takes Fifth At Nationals

Greensboro, NC- Alfred State Diver Conor Compton garnered All-American status for the second straight year, as he took fifth place on the 3-meter board at the NCAA Swim and Dive National Championship.

Compton scored 490.45 in the prelims this morning to earn a spot in the All-American finals tonight. In finals, Compton improved on his score, tallying a 517.60 to take fifth place.

The sophomore improved on his seventh-place finish from last year at the national level, to become the highest place finisher in Pioneer history.

Compton will be back in action on Friday March 21, at 1 pm for the 1-meter prelims.
