Pioneers Are In Second Place Headed Into The Final Day

Webster, NY- The Alfred State men's swimming and diving team holds second place in the AMCC with a total of 632 points.

Jack Friedah let off the Friday night finals with a fourth-place finish and the 400-yard IM. He touched the wall and 4:13.97.

Then in the 100 butterfly Ricky Villarreal notched a third-place finish with a time of 52.33. Pat Roberts also earned a spot in the A-Final of the 100 butterfly and he touched the wall in 53.03 to claim 5th place.

Collin Vimislik came away with an eighth-place finish in the 200 free after touching the wall in 1:49.05. Then Stuart Yates ended the 100 breast in 57. 55 to take home third place.

Conor Compton finished his sweep of the conference tournament diving, after notching his second win on the 1m board. Compton scored 518.97 points to take home the title. Jack Tonkin and Bryan Reichert came away with third and fourth place finishes respectively as well.

In the final event of the night, the team of Friedah, Yates, Villarreal, and Parker Brod came away with a fourth-place finish in the 400 medley relay.
