Frascella, Laurie & Lohr Honored with Pioneer Legacy Awards

Kate Frascella (Franklinville), Josh Laurie (LeRoy), and Ryan Lohr (West Seneca) have been named the recipients of the 2020-21 Pioneer Legacy Awards. This award is given to the male and female athletes who have achieved success on and off the field throughout their career at Alfred State. The nominees have demonstrated sportsmanship and leadership, been involved in civic engagement activities, along with earning athletic honors during their career.

Athletic Trainers Awarded Havens Honors

The trio of Alfred State athletic trainers, Alexe Pask, Rebecca Straub, and Kylie Bierman, have been named the recipients of the 2021 William Havens Award. The Havens Award is given to the person(s) within the athletic department who has gone beyond the call of duty in making the greatest contribution in aiding the mission of the athletic department during the past year.

Quartet of Pioneers Named to AMCC Sportsmanship Team

A quartet of Pioneers have been named to the AMCC Sportsmanship Team. All institution sport teams which compete for an AMCC championship may select one member from their team who displays good sportsmanship throughout the season to be a member of the All-AMCC Sportsmanship Team.

The Alfred State athletic department recently honored 18 student-athletes that competed at Alfred State for four years. Each of the honorees received a plaque with an ox head on hit to commemorate the accomplishment.
Watkins and Linderman Named to AMCC All-Academic Team

Summer Sports Festival Cancelled for 2021

Alfred State College has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 Summer Sports Festival. The Summer Sports Festival consists of day camp and the learn to swim program.
Taggart, Mucher, Popoff, Gartland, and Yates Earn ASC Academic Award

Emma Taggart (New Windsor, MD), Riley Mucher (Warsaw), Isabelle Popoff (Cicero North Syracuse), AJ Gartland (Irondequoit), and Stuart Yates (Naples) were recently named the 2021 Alfred State Academic Award winners. The quintet was honored at a ceremony held in the Cappadonia Auditorium.
