Alfred State Beats Keystone in Tight Contest

The Alfred State Football team turns to 2-0 in the ECFC with a 42-33 win against Keystone College.

Two Alfred State running backs had 100+ yard days, Josh Graham (Hilton, NY / Hilton) had 133 with two TD's and Jake Palmer (Albany, NY / Voorheesville) had 113 and one TD on only 11 carries. Justin Horvath (Grand Island, NY / Grand Island) had a 170 yard day in the air with two touchdowns, both to Ben Ba (Harlem, NY/ Park East) who totaled 105 yards recieving.

Defensively, the Pioneers were led by David Harrell (Brooklyn, NY/ Fort Hamilton) who totaled 11 solo tackles. Rayshawn Powell and Josh Borowicz (Highland Falls, NY / James O'Neill) each tallied eight tackles, Borowicz tacked on a sack as well. Rylie Van Fleet (Endwell, NY / Maine Endwell) made his presence felt again late in the game, where he had a goal-line INT with less than 5 minutes remaining. 

The Pioneers are back in action on October 22, when they face Dean College in the 2022 homecoming game at Pioneer Stadium.
