Stevens and Beach Earn AMCC Honors
Alfred State sophomore divers Sarah Stevens (Wellsville) and Nick Beach (Canandaigua) have been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) divers of the week after impressive victories in the opening meet of the season.
Stevens won both the 1m diving events in the dual meet victory over Penn State Behrend. She scored a 135.80 in the 5-dive format and a 152.05 in the 6-dive format.
Beach won both the 1m and 3m diving competitions on Saturday vs. Behrend. He scored 198.00 in the 3m to win by 33.15 points and he scored 196.75 in the 1m to win by 30.60.
Pitt Bradford's Ben Koss and Penn State Behrend's Gwen Lowery were named the swimmers of the week.
