Beach and Lewis Earn AMCC Honors
Nick Beach (Canandaigua) and Kathryn Lewis (Sanborn/Niagara Wheatfield) have been honored by the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) with Athletes of the Week selections.
Beach takes home AMCC Diver of the Week for the second time this season after a strong performance vs. Buffalo State. He was 2nd in the 1m diving competition (244.60) and 2nd in the 3m (236.30) against Buffalo St. - both of his marks break his previous school records.
Lewis was named the women's swimmer of the week after registering victory in three events in the team's win vs. Buffalo State. She won the 1,000 free in 11:58.15, the 100 free in 58.69, and the 500 free in 5:44.63. Her result in the 1,000 and 500 set new school NCAA era records. She was also part of the winning 400 free relay team.
