Pioneers Open up Home Portion of Season

The Alfred State wrestling team opened up the home portion of their season with their first dual match of the year. Brockport came away with a 41-9 victory.

The Pioneers earned two victories on the evening. Codie Nichols (Unatego) got the Pioneers on the board with a hard fought 3-2 victory over James Shreck at 174 and Matthew Sowers (Whitesboro) earned a forfeit at 197. 

Alfred State returns to the mat next Tuesday when they host Penn College at the Orvis Activities Center at 7 p.m.
