Pioneers compete at Whitehill Duals

The Alfred State wrestling team fell in all three of their matches on day one of the Whitehill Duals at Lycoming College in Williamsport, PA. The Pioneers felol 48-10 to Messiah, 53-0 to Cortland, and 40-9 to Wesleyan.

Ryan Theirman won a 10-0 decision over Marshall Myers at 125 and George Vanvalen pinned Jacob English at 165 in 5:35 to account for the points vs Messiah.

Hans Schmieder earned a forfeit win at 125 while Vanvalen earned his 2nd victory with a 7-1 win over Keomin Hwang in the match vs Wesleyan.

The Pioneers battle Trine at 9 am on Saturday and then take on either RIT or Case Western at Noon.
