Four Wrestlers Named ECWC All-Academic

Alfred State sophomore wrestlers Brad Haggerty (Wellsville), Austin Keough (Warsaw), Konnor Kremer (Horseheads), and Kevin Thayer (Unatego) have been named to the All-Academic team by the Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference.

Haggerty has a 3.61 GPA in financial planning, Keough has a 3.34 GPA in Masonry, Kremer has a 3.69 GPA in Electrical Engineering Technology, and Thayer has a 3.41 GPA in Welding.

Student-athletes who have reached sophomore academic standing and are in at least their second semester on campus while maintaining either a cumulative or two-semester grade-point average of 3.3 are eligible for the ECWC All-Academic Team, which recognizes student-athletes who have wrestled in at least three competitions and were eligible to compete in the ECWC Championship Tournament. 36 members of the ECWC were honored this season.

The ECWC consists of Alfred State, Brockport, Cortland, Ithaca, Lycoming, Oneonta, Oswego, and RIT.
