Lady Pioneers Battle to 1-1 Tie with Fairmont

Alfred State and Fairmont State battled to a 1-1 tie on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Pioneers are now 5-2-1 on the year while the Falcons are 2-2-1.

After a scoreless 1st half, Kali Muhleisen (Alfred Almond) got the blue & gold on the board 3:24 into the 2nd half when she scored after McKenzie Miller (Belfast) found her on a corner kick.

Forty seconds later, Stephanie DeLawder tied it up when she was able to dribble past the goalie and have an open net.

Neither team would score the rest of regulation or during either of the 10-minute overtime sessions.

Alfred State held a 22 to 18 shot advantage (15 to 9 shots on goal) in the contest. Allison Danielak (Brockport) made six saves in 65 minutes while Morgan Schreiner (Spencerport) made two saves in the 2nd half. Shawna Graham made 14 saves for the Falcons.

The Lady Pioneers are right back at it on Wednesday when they host Bryant & Stratton at 6 p.m.
