Unbeaten Streak Reaches Nine for Lady Pioneers

The Alfred State women's soccer team defeated Penn State Greater Allegheny 7-0 to run their unbeaten streak to nine games. The Lady Pioneers are 8-0-1 in their last nine contests.

Kaitlyn Huyler (Jasper Troupsburg) scored two goals in the first 11 minutes to give the blue & gold a solid lead. Keri Teufel (Sachem East) Kali Muhleisen (Alfred Almond), McKenzie Miller (Belfast), and Chelsea Dunn (Newfane) also added first half goals to give the Lady Pioneers a 6-0 advantage at the break.

Muhleisen netted her second of the game and 15th of the season to account for the lone goal in the second half.

During the nine game unbeaten streak, Alfred State has outscored their opponents 49 to 6. The team has recorded four shutouts in the stretch including their last three games.

Alfred State, ranked #4 in the 1st USCAA poll, will be back in action on Thursday when they host Buffalo State. The Bengals will enter the game witha  3-4-2 mark following a 2-1 loss at Geneseo on Saturday.
