Early Goals Hold up as Keuka Slips Past Lady Pioneers

Keuka scored two goals in the first 33 minutes and held on for a 2-1 victory over Alfred State on Saturday afternoon. The Wolfpack improve to 9-4-1 on the year while the Lady Pioneers are now 9-6-1.

Jordan Fredell scored on a breakaway just 6:15 into the contest. Abbey David was credited with the assist. Abbey made it 2-0 at 33:13 of the contest when she found the back of the net on a penalty kick.

Kali Muhleisen (Alfred Almond) cut the lead in half at 41:14 of the contest after getting a pass from McKenzie Miller (Belfast).

Alfred St. kept the pressure on but could not get the equalizer. Keuka held a 18 to 11 shot advantage in the contest. Kenna Kosinski made six saves for Keuka while Allison Danielak (Brockport) made eight saves.

The Lady Pioneers close out the regular season on Tuesday with a 5 p.m. road contest at Houghton.
