Women's Soccer Keeps Rolling

Ten different Lady Pioneers scored as Alfred State continued their roll with a 12-0 victory over Penn State Beaver on Saturday afternoon. The blue & gold are undefeated in their last eight contests and sit at 7-2-1 on the year.

McKenzie Miller (Belfast) led the offense with two goals and an assist while Kaitlyn Huyler (Jasper Troupsburg) added a goal and two assists. Haley Vosburg (Fillmore) netted two, Keri Teufel (Sachem) and Chelsea Dunn (Newfane) were credited with a goal and an assist each, and Allison Vargeson (Addison), Kali Muhleisen (Alfred Almond), Alexis Flint (Arkport), Jessica Baier (Greece Athena) and Sarah Mcallister (Hornell) all scored once. Alyssa VanNostrand (Southern Cayuga) picked up an assist.

The goals by Baier and Mcallister were the first of their collegiate careers.

Alfred State jumped up 3-0 in the first 9:04 of the contest and led 7-0 at half. The Lady Pioneers held a 47 to 1 shot advantage. Morgan Schreiner (Spencerport) recorded the shutout in net.

The blue & gold continue their weekend in the Pittsburgh, PA area with a 1 p.m. contest with Penn State Greater Allegheny on Sunday.
