Byrnes, Hanss, and Sass, Named #PioneerPinpoint Athletes of the Week

Track & Field athletes Brianna Byrnes (Jordan Elbridge) and Jacob Hanss (East Rochester) along with baseball player Brady Sass (Caledonia Mumford) have been named the Alfred State #PioneerPinpoint Athletes of the Week.

Byrnes won her heat in the 800 m and finished 13th overall at Susquehanna. Her time of 2:26.70 was the 8th fastest in school history. She was also a part of the 4x400 relay team that finished 10th in 4:19.94 which is 10th best in school history.

Hanss recorded the best individual finish on the men's side at Susquehanna. He finished 2nd in the 3,000 steeplechase in 10:12.03.

Sass tossed a complete game in the Pioneers 9-3 victory over Penn College on Thursday. Sass scattered six hits and two earned runs. He walked one and struck out six.
