Baseball: 6-18

The Pioneers were 4-3 this week including a four-game series sweep of D'Youville (16-2, 10-0, 13-7, & 6-4). The blue & gold outscored their opponents 52-26 on the week.

Cullen Franz (Cazenovia) hit .455 with 4 RBI on the week while Jose Martinez (Queens/Newtown) hit .438 with 2 RBI. Thomas Shofi (Carmel) hit .391, Rafael Perozo (Bronx/St. Raymond) and Dan Woodward (Honeoye) both drove home seven runs, and Robert Cardona (Harlem/All Hallows) hit .375 with three stolen bases.

On the mound Perozo, Brady Sass (Caledonia Mumford), Nick Mahoney (Cleveland, OH), and Jake Remington (Avon) all picked up the wins. Perozo threw 5.1 shutout innings while striking out 10, Sass tossed 13.1 innings and had a 2.70 ERA. Mahoney's victory was his first as a collegiate pitcher.

Prior to the weekend sweep, the Pioneers lost close ballgames 5-2 and 2-0 to Penn College and 6-5 to Hilbert.

Lacrosse: 3-10

The Pioneers were tripped up in both of their contests this week, 21-8 at Hilbert and 17-10 at SUNY Canton.

Aaron Buck (Churchville) led the way with ten points (six goals and four assists) while Joshua Aviles (Middletown) and Joe Johnson (Churchville) had five points each. Ryan Amidon (Fayetteville Manlius) made 22 saves in net.

Softball: 4-17

Stormi Kruger (Medina) led the Lady Pioneers with a .368 average and four RBI in their six games this week. Amanda Rockefeller (Bolivar Richburg) hit .353 and Courtney McDaniel (Arkport) hit .294.

The Lady Pioneers fell 4-0 and 10-1 at Geneseo, 6-5 and 4-0 at Pitt-Bradford, and 10-7 and 11-3 at SUNY Canton

Outdoor Track & Field: Women - 13th in Region & 75th Nationally, Men: 26th in Region

The Pioneer duo of Jacob Hanss (East Rochester) and Eric Hulbert (Mexico) led the way for the blue & gold at the Westminster Invitational on Saturday in the steeplechase. Hanss finished 2nd in 9:57.62 while Hulbert was 6th in 10:14.41. Hanss was nearly 11 seconds faster than his PR while Hulbert was four seconds faster. Joseph Richardson (Geneva) also had a solid day. He was 9th in the triple jump (12.71 m) and 25th out of 69 in the long jump (5.90 m).

On the women's side Angel Bresnahan (Mexico) led the way . She was 13th out of 49 in the long jump (4.85 m), 26th out of 55 in the 100 (13.42), and 29th out of 62 in the 200 (28.22).

On Sunday at Bucknell, The quartet of Brianna Byrnes (Jordan Elbridge), Mariah Smith (Hornell), Cassandra Ryan (Gloversville), and Kelly Healy (Maple Hill) finished 12th in 10:06.03. The Lady Pioneers are now the 3rd fastest in school history.
