Poor Shooting Slows Pioneers

Alfred State was held to 21.9% shooting (14.3% from three) as #14 Erie CC defeated the Pioneers 79-41 on Tuesday evening.  The Kats are now 16-3, 6-0 WNYAC while the Pioneers are 7-13, 0-7.

Keron Briggs and Devon Elliott each had 15 points to lead the Kats.  Emanuel Hutcherson came off the bench and recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 boards.  ECC shot 39.7% from the field and outrebounded the Pioneers 59 to 42.

Marquis Chatman (Allen, TX) led the blue & gold with 14 points and six boards while Wade Franklin (Arkport) came off the bench and added 10 points and eight boards. 

The Pioneers return home for the first time in two weeks on Thursday when they host Jamestown - Olean at 7:30 p.m.
