Three Point Barrage Leads Pioneers Past Olean

The Alfred State men's basketball team connected on eleven 3-pointers as they defeated Jamestown Olean 66-60 on Thursday.  The Pioneers are now 8-13 overall and 1-7 in WNYAC play while the Jaguars are now 7-13, 0-7.

Tommy Hutson (Brooklyn/Susan McKinney) led the Pioneers with 19 points.  He was 6 for 9 from the field and 4 for 4 from three-point land.  Jamar White (Laurel, MD) finished with 13, Marquis Chatman (Allen, TX) added 11 points and eight boards, while Adam Fezza (Southhampton) had 10 points and nine rebounds.

The Pioneers were 7 for 13 from three in the 1st half and 4 for 14 in the 2nd.  They shot 40.3% for the game and 40.7% from three.

Jamere Wilcox led JCC-Olean with 17 points and 13 boards while Katrell Henry Jr finished with 16 points and 17 rebounds.  Ryan Lollier chipped in 12 points off the bench.  The Jaguars held a 54 to 37 advantage on the boards, 22 to 7 on the offensive glass.

Alfred returns to the court on Saturday when they battle Niagara CCC at 3 p.m. at the Orvis Activities Center.
