Tribunes use Balanced Attack to Down Pioneers

#14 Monroe CC had four players finish in double figures as they downed Alfred State 81-52 in a WNYAC match-up on Saturday afternoon.  The Tribunes are now 22-3, 9-1 WNYAC while the Pioneers are 9-15, 1-9.

John Velez-Rivera connected on 5 three-pointers and led the Tribunes with 19 points off the bench.  Greg Williams finished with 13 while Tashawn Desir and Arnold Fripp each had 11.  Reuben Berry finished with six points and 12 boards.

MCC shot 43.1% from the field and connected on 8 three-pointers.  They also held a 52 to 34 advantage on the boards and forced the Pioneers into 19 turnovers.

Jamar White (Laurel, MD) led the blue & gold with 18 points.  Marquis Chatman (Allen, TX) finished with 13 and Tommy Hutson (Brooklyn/Susann McKinney) chipped in 12.

Alfred shot 32.7% from the field and was 8 for 14 from the charity stripe.

The blue & gold travel to the Olean YMCA to take on Jamestown-Olean on Tuesday.  Opening tip-off is at 7 p.m.
