Lady Pioneers Ranked #4 in First USCAA Poll

The Alfred State women's soccer team is ranked #4 in the first USCAA poll of the 2014 season. The Lady Pioneers are currently on a nine match unbeaten streak and are 8-2-1 on the season.

After falling in both of their matches at the Potsdam Tournament, the Lady Pioneers put together a undefeated September. The team outscored their opponents 49 to 6 during the stretch. 

Kali Muhleisen (Alfred Almond) leads the team with 15 goals and two assists while Kaitlyn Huyler (Jasper Troupsburg) has netted eight goals and passed out five assists.

In net, the duo of Allison Danielak (Brockport) and Morgan Schreiner (Spencerport) have combined to make 46 saves and have a 0.80 goals against average.

Maine-Fort Kent (247 points) is on top of the first poll followed by Daemen (244). SUNY ESF (243) is 3rd, Alfred St. (232) is 4th, and Florida College (232) is 5th.

The Lady Pioneers host Buffalo State on Thursday before battling SUNY ESF battle on Sunday afternoon at Pioneer Stadium at 1 p.m.
