Lady Pioneers End Season with 2-2 Tie with WV Tech

The Alfred State women's soccer team wrapped up their 2014 season with a 2-2 tie to West Virginia Tech in a consolation match at the USCAA National Championships. The Lady Pioneers wrap up the season with a 9-8-2 record.

Ruby Bingham gave WV Tech an early lead but Kali Muhleisen (Alfred Almond) answered back at 10:05 with her 20th goal of the season after getting a long pass from Haley Vosburg (Fillmore). Muhleisen gave the Pioneers a 2-1 lead in the 41st minute when she scored again after getting a pass from Autumn White (Addison).

Bingham tied the game up in the 58th minute. Neither team could break the tie in the remaining time.

WV Tech held a 15-14 (11-10 shots on goal) shot advantage in the contest. Allison Danielak (Brockport) made nine saves while the duo of Martha Reyna and Sydney Schaeffer combined to make eight saves.

The Lady Pioneers were making their second straight trip to the USCAA National Championships.
