Baseball: 3-11

The Pioneers were unable to get on the field due to the weather this past week. They have a busy week of scheduled action with doubleheaders on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, and a single game on Thursday.

Lacrosse: 2-4

Alfred State netted the first six goals as they rolled to a 16-3 victory over Medaille in their AMCC opener on Saturday. The Pioneers contest vs. Hilbert earlier in the week was postponed and will be played this coming weekend.

Six different Pioneers scored in the first 11 minutes of the game to put Alfred State in control. The Pioneers led 6-2 after the 1st, 10-3 at half, and 14-3 after the 3rd.

Joe Johnson (Churchville) led the Pioneers with three goals and three assists while Dominic Arresta (Southhampton) recorded a hat trick. Ian Grana (Greece Odyssey) and Nic Covelli (Carmel) each had two goals and an assist, and Teddy Alvarado (Hilton) and Eric Passeck (Thomaston, CT) each recorded a goal and two assists. Nathan Crowley (West Irondequoit) netted a goal and led the team with 15 ground balls. Crowley also won 19 of 22 faceoffs.

Matt Cobb (Churchville) made five saves in net to earn the victory in 54:24 in net while Nate Gardner (Newark) made two saves to cap the game.

Softball: 0-11

Weather won the week as the team had both of their scheduled doubleheaders postponed. The team does not have a scheduled game until April 5th.
