Malenfant Wins The 184 Bracket As Sixth Pioneers Earn Place Finishes

Berea, OH- The men's wrestling team tallied six place finishes at the John Summa Invite. Sean Malenfant won the 184 bracket.

Malenfant went 3-0 on the day. His day started with a 52 second fall over Omari Watson (Wikes). Then in the semifinals, he tallied another first round fall, this time in 1:41 over Ryan Weitz (Baldwin Wallace). In the finals, Malenfant notched a 6-3 decision win over Hunter Lowe (Wilkes) to claim the title.

In the 125 bracket, Mason Drew came away with a fourth-place finish. Then in the 133 bracket, Elijah Moshenek placed fifth, while Nick Barrett finished fifth in the 285 bracket. Also in the 184 bracket, Aaron Johnson came in sixth place, and Blake Ilges finished in eighth place in the 197 bracket.
