Six Top Three Finishes for Indoor Track at Brockport

The Alfred State indoor track and field team recorded six top three finishes at the Brockport Invitational on Saturday.  The blue & gold men also won the 4x200 relay title.

The 4x200 relay team of Zach Woodard (South Jefferson), Josiah Thomas (Rochester/Marshall), Desmond Chambers (Gates Chili), and Khris Greggs (Rochester/Aquinas) ran the fastest time of 13 teams to earn the victory in 1:33.26. 

Chambers earned 3rd in both the 60 m (7.21) and the 200 m (23.62) while Thomas was 3rd in the triple jump (13.55 m).

Richard Krouse (Eden) finished the two-day heptathlon in 6th place with 4,060 points.  His 4,060 points is 2nd most in program history.  His best performance on day two was in the pole vault (4.30 m = 702 points).  Ryan Seward (Pembroke) finished 9th in the event (2,860 points).

Leandro DelRosario (Brooklyn/Thomas Edison) was 6th in the shot put (13.77 m) and Andrew Jones (North Rose Wolcott) was 7th in the weight throw (14.56) 

On the women's side, Dayonna Holmes (Rochester/Charlotte) finished 2nd in the 200 in 27.29. Her performance puts her 4th on the all-time list.  Her time qualifies her for the ECAC Championships.

Billie Carroll (Rochester/Edison) was 3rd in the triple jump (10.53 m), Brianna Byrnes (Jordan Elbridge) was 5th in the 500 m (1:28.16), and Molly Dempsey (Wellsville) registered the program's 10th best time in the mile (6:05.66).

The women's 4x400 relay team of Holmes, Brynes, Sarah Wise (Avoca), and Annaliese Corrao (Grand Island) finished 4th in 4:28.19 while the 4x200 relay team of Corrao, Madison McDonald (Lansing), Holmes, and Carroll finished in 6th in 1:54.50.

The Pioneers travel to the Ithaca Quad on Friday for a 5:30 start in a competition that features the Bombers, Cortland, and Cobleskill.
