Thomas Qualifies for Outdoor ECAC's

Josiah Thomas (Rochester/John Marshall) qualified for the ECAC Outdoor Championships with a 4th place finish in the triple jump at the Millersville Metrics.  The Pioneer men finished 22nd with 13 points in the competition while the women finished 24th with two points.

Thomas recorded a mark of 13.61 m in the triple jump to qualify for the ECAC Championshps May 15-16 at RPI.

Thomas was also part of the 4x400 relay team that finished 3rd in 3:31.21.  He teammed with Khris Greggs (Rochester/Aquinas), Nate Andres (Arcade/Pioneer), and Zach Woodard (Adams Center) in the race.

On the women's side the 4x800 relay team of Mikaela Shaw (Attica), Dayonna Holmes (Rochester/Charlotte), Brianna Brynes (Jordan Elbridge), and Sarah Wise (Avoca) finished in 7th in 11:54.18.

Holmes also ran the 3rd fastest time in school history in the 200 m.  She finished in 27.14.

29 teams scored points in the men's competition while 26 scored on the women's side.

The Pioneers return to action next weekend at the Nazareth Invitational.
