Dechow Named Athlete of the Week
Sophomore Dane Dechow (Randolph) has been named the Alfred State athlete of the week after an impressive showing at the New York State Championships.
Dechow won the 400 hurdles with a time of 55.45. He finished ahead of Alex Delaney (RPI) who finished in 55.82. Dechow had entered Saturday's final with the 3rd fastest time in the preliminaries (56.78).
Dechow was also a member of the Pioneers 4 x 400 relay team that finished 3rd in 3:22.51.
Dechow will be part of the Pioneer contingent that heads to the ECAC Championships at RPI on May 15-16.
