Track Open Season at West Chester

The Alfred State outdoor track & field team opened up their season at the West Chester Golden Ram Invitational.  Highlighting the day was the men's 4x100 relay team qualifying for the ECAC Championships.

The men's 4x100 relay team finished 3rd in the competition crossing the finish line in 43.54.

Brandon Teboe (Jamestown/Falconer) won the pole vault with a leap of 3.95 m.  Khris Greggs (Rochester/Aquinas) was 3rd in the 400 (51.30), Zack Woodard (South Jefferson) was 3rd in the 100 (11.36) and 6th in the 200 (23.14), Desmond Chambers (Rochester/Gates Chili) was 4th in the long jump (6.11 m) and 6th in the 100 (11.63), and Leandro DelRosario (Brooklyn/Thomas Edison) was 5th in the shot put (13.77 m).

Josiah Thomas (Rochester/John Marshall) was 7th in the 200 (23.23), Jared Williams (Rochester/Wheatland Chili) was 7th in the long jump (5.86 m), and the 4x400 relay team finished 4th (3:30.11).

On the women's side, Dayonna Holmes (Rochester/Charlotte) was 5th in the 400 (1:04.73), Sarah Wise (Avoca) was 5th in the long jump (3.94 m), and the 4x400 relay was 7th (4:27.64).

The Pioneers were one of a dozen teams that competed in the non scoring event.
