Pioneer Athletes Of The Week
Alfred, NY- This weeks Pioneer Athletes of the Week are Track and Field's Laura Walter and Baseball's Jack Curabba.
Laura Walter notched a fifth-place finish in the pole vault with a best jump of 2.75 meters. With that height she moved into fourth all time in Pioneers history.
Curabba went 9-14 on the week for a .643 batting average with two triples and two doubles for three RBIs. On the weekend alone, Curabba went 6-7 and tallied two triples and a double in the a sweep over Penn State Altoona.
