Isabelle Popoff Named AMCC Representative For NCAA Woman of the Year

Alfred, NY- Isabelle Popoff has been named the AMCC representative of the NCAA Woman of the Year Award. Popoff was a member of the women's indoor & outdoor track and field, cross country, and soccer teams during her time at Alfred State. 

Popoff majored in Architechture and Urban Design with a minor in Business and History, graduating in May with a 3.96 GPA. She graduated Suma Cum Laude and was a member of the Dean's List every semester of her college career. She was a five-time recipient of the Alfred State Athletics Academic Award and a member of the Tau Sigma Delta Architecture Honors Society and the Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society. 

Popoff was involved in several activities on campus, as she was a member of the Pioneer Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, the National Organization of Minority Architecture Students, and Women in Non-Traditional Studies. Popoff was also served as a supervisor in the athletics strength room. As a member of the SAAC committee, she led the charge to put in place a student-athlete snack shack on campus.

Athletically, Popoff was named the United East Conference Indoor Track Athlete of the Year, while also being a member of the all-conference teams in cross country and indoor track and field. 

Popoff will be attending graduate school to obtain her MBA at Goldey-Beacon College and plans to be a member of the women's track and field team.
