Pioneers Drop Home Game

The Alfred State Men's Basketball team dropped today's home game 78-53. 

The Pioneers started hot, scoring 13 points in the first 4 minutes of the contest. The hawks quickly answered with seven straight points of their own tying the game at 13. By the midway point in the first half, the Hawks took a 10 point lead 26-16 and held their double-digit advantage heading into the locker room 41-28.

Through the first 8 minutes of the second half, both teams traded baskets. The Hawks eventually began to pull away taking a 59-39 lead over the Pioneers with 9 minutes remaining.

Some standouts for the Pioneers include:

Paris Jamison (Brooklyn, NY / East Side): Jamison had 14 points on 6-10 shooting. Jamison also had two assists and two rebounds.

Dylan Perry (Kingston, NY / Kingston): Perry had 14 points on his night as well, on 5-11 shooting. The majority of Perry's points came from long range. He shot 4-9 from deep and tallied four assists.

The Pioneers are back in action on Saturday, February 11, at Mt. Aloysius. The game is set to tip-off at 1 p.m.
