Pioneer Men Sweep Tri-Meet

The Alfred State College Pioneers swept the tri-meet today against Wells and Pitt.- Bradford. The combined team score of 309 bested Pitt.- Bradford's 105 and Wells' 48.

The men won with a score of 165, beating Pitt.- Bradford and Wells by over one-hundred points. The Pioneers largest margin of victory so far came with countless event victories all day.

Westin Perry, Stuart Yates, Kellen Fletcher and Luca Aldewereld won the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:35.58. The next two foursomes that finished were also Pioneers. Jack Friedah Derek Mrachko, Patrick Roberts, and Alexander Mayen finished ten seconds behind them. Avenn Toledo won the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:41.19. Toledo edged out the Pitt.- Bradford swimmer by less than two seconds. Luca Aldewereld won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:52.79. Westin Perry won the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 23.63. Stuart Yates won the 50-yard breaststroke, finishing in 27.19. Patrick Roberts won the 100-yard fly with a time of 55.28. Parker Brod won the 50-yard free with a time of 22.07. Aidan Ferguson won the 100-yard free with a time of 50.80. Westin Perry got his third win of the day with a victory in the 100-yard backstroke finishing in 50.60. Stuart Yates also notched another victory with a win in the 100-yard breaststroke. Kellen Fletcher won the 400- yard IM with a time of 4:30.76.

Out of 28 events. The Alfred State Pioneer men and women won 25 of them, proving their dominance once again.

The Pioneers are back in action on Friday, December 9 at SUNY Geneseo.
