Track Teams Predicted 2nd in CSAC Preseason Coaches Poll

The Alfred State track & field team has been predicted to finish 2nd in both the men's and women's Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) preseason coaches poll. The Pioneers open up the 2021 outdoor season tomorrow (4/9) when they host the ASC Early Season Invitational.

This is the second full season (the 2020 was cancelled) that Alfred State will compete in the CSAC during the outdoor track & field season. In the 2019 season, the men's team finished 2nd in the CSAC while the women's team finished 4th.

In the men's coaches poll, Penn State Behrend is predicted to finish first followed by Alfred State and Keystone College (ASC and Keystone tied in the voting).

In the women's poll, Penn State Behrend is on top followed by Alfred State, Keystone, Cedar Crest, and Notre Dame of Maryland.

The CSAC Championships are Saturday, May 8th at Keystone College in LaPlume, PA

The Pioneers will see Penn State Behrend in their meet tomorrow as the Lions are one of six teams competing at Pioneer Stadium. Joining ASC and Penn State Behrend are Alfred University, Buffalo State, Houghton, Mansfield, and Roberts Weslyan. Action is slated to begin with field events at 3:30 p.m. and track events at 4 p.m. - Schedule of Events
