Bremser Named Swimming Coach

Ryan Bremser has been named the new swimming coach at Alfred State.  Bremser, a former NCAA DIII swimmer at Plattsburgh, begins his duties immediately.

Bremser swam competitively for 14 years including four years at Plattsburgh State where he sill holds school records in the 200 IM, the 400 IM, and the 200 butterly.  While at Plattsburgh, he earned a bachelor's degree in philosophy with a minor in studio art.

Bremser has previously coached swimming at Ridgewood Swim Club, Southern Saratoga YMCA, and Guilderland YMCA.  In those positions he coached swimmers from ages 6 to 18 and was in charge of developing practice place, taught stroke fundamentals, and taught racing tactics.  He also created and implemented dry land exercise plans and worked with a team in hosting meets.

Bremser has also spent time working for Catholic Charities, the Niskayuna Central School District, Belle Electronics, and the Finger Lakes DDSO.

Bremser and the Pioneer swim team will begin practice for the 2013 season in October.
