Swim Team Wraps up Season at Geneseo

The Alfred State swim team wrapped up the 2013-14 season with a 4th place finish at the Geneseo Invitational on Saturday.  The men scored 84 points while the women scored 48.

Josh Stellrecht (Oakfield Alabama) led the blue & gold with a 2nd place finish in the 1,000.  His time of 11:46.55 was 17 seconds faster than his previous best on the year.  He also cut four seconds off his 500 free time in finishing 4th (5:37.55).

Alex Ciolek (Orchard Park) was 6th in the 100 back (1:02.44) and Jacob Drew (Victor) shaved five seconds off his 100 back time to earn 9th (1:05.71).

On the women's side, Sabrina Dunning (Cuba Rushford) finished 6th in the 500 free (6:50.30) and 8th in the 200 back (2:45.60).  She cut five seconds off her best time in each race. Danielle Roberts (Lockport) was 7th in the 100 fly (1:16.86) and 12th in the 100 free (1:02.60).

Geneeo won both the men's and women's titles in the meet that featured Geneseo, Oswego, Brockport, and Mansfield.
