Pair of Lady Pioneers Help With Sandy Relief

Alfred State soccer player Alexis Flint (Arkport) and swimmer Sabrina Dunning (Cuba Rushford) spent last weekend on their second trip to Long Beach, NY for Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.

Flint and Dunning were part of an Alfred State contingent of nine students and two resident directors that spent last weekend partnering with All Hands Volunteers in their attempts to rebuild homes devastated by Sandy.  On this trip, the group helped drywall and paint three homes.

On their first trip in the Spring, Flint and Dunning helped gut houses and peformed mold treatments.

Flint, a business/sport management major, just completed her junior season on the women's soccer team while Dunning, a human services management major, is in the midst of her junior year on the swim team.
