Holmes Sets New School Record at ECAC's

Dayonna Holmes (Rochester/Charlotte) set a new Alfred State record in the 200 m to highlight day two of the 2014 ECAC Championships held at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, MA.

Holmes finished 19th in the 72 athlete field with a time of 26.20.  Her time sets a new school record and bests the previous record held by Amira Felton in 1992.

In the men's competition, the Pioneers finished 52nd overall after Desmond Chambers (Rochester/Gates Chili) picked up another team point with a 8th place finish in the long jump (6.55 m).

The 4x400 relay team registered a 19th place finish with the 3rd fastest time in school history (3:28.23).

The blue & gold return to action in a couple weeks when they begin the outdoor season at the West Chester Invitational.
