Pioneers Fall in Season Opener

Bass Sarr netted two 1st half goals to left Buffalo State past Alfred State 2-0 in the season opener for both programs. 

Sarr scored 14:30 into the contest when he connected on a crossing pass from Luke Pavone. He made it 2-0 with just over eight minutes left in the half when he took a crossing pass from Lorne Maxime.

The Bengals held a 27 to 3 shot advantage in the contest. Kenneth Allport (Hilton) made 15 saves for the Pioneers while William Banahene stopped three to earn the shutout victory.

The blue & gold open return to action on Friday when they battle Waynesburg at 7:30 p.m. in their first home contest of the campaign.
