Medaille scored a pair of goals in each half as they defeated Alfred State 4-0 on Wednesday evening. The Mavericks improve to 5-1 while the Pioneers fall to 2-3.
Edisson Salazar scored in the 17th minute when his shot deflected off a defender and found the back of the net. Nick DuMond made it 2-0 when he sent a rebound into the open net in the 31st minute.
In the 49th minute, Junior Geeba added to the Mavericks lead. Jaime Salcedo capped the scoring in the 58th minute when he scored on a penalty kick.
Medaille held a 14 to 7 shot advantage in the contest. Brian Arcara made three saves to record the shutout.
The Pioneers look to bounce back on Friday when they host D'Youville at 6 p.m.
