All ten Lady Pioneers scored as Alfred State defeated Genesee CC 73-44 to improve to 17-7 on the year and 7-2 in Region III Division II play on the season. The Lady Cougars fall to 1-22.
Jennifer Fedrick (Buffalo/Bennett) led four Lady Pioneers in double figures with 12 points. Helena Covington (Elmira Free) had 10 points and 12 boards, Briana Meehan (Rexville) finished with 10 points and seven boards, and Eleasha Wiggins (Brooklyn/Bedford Academy) chipped in 10 points. Karley Fanning (Rochester/Bishop Kearney) chipped in seven points and seven rebounds, Sally Santiago (Bronx/Our Lady of Good Counsel) had six points and nine boards, and Jackie Lieb (Hornell) added six points. Haley Witchella (Oxford Academy) finished with five points 13 boards, and eight blocks.
Dominique Davis led GCC with 14 points off the bench while Dashawna Jenifer finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Alfred led 39-19 at halftime and held a 72 to 48 advantage on the boards for the game.
The blue & gold finish off the regular season on Saturday when they host Jamestown CC at 1 p.m.
