Lady Pioneers Down Jamestown

Five different Lady Pioneers scored as Alfred State defeated Jamestown CC 6-3 on Friday afternoon.  The blue & gold are now 2-1 on the year.

Alfred State jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the 1st half.  Stormi Kruger (Medina), Hannah Gilray (Fredonia), and Kali Muhleisen (Alfred Almond) found the back of the net.

The Jayhawks scored the first two goals of the 2nd half but Alfred scored three straight to regain control of the game.  Kruger scored her 2nd, Hunter Pierce (Livonia) and Hannah Holmok (Alfred Almond) scored.

Holmok added three assists to go with her goal while Chelsea Dunn (Newfane), Kelsey Murray (Greece Olympia), and Taylor Dziuba (Warsaw) all had an assist.

Krista DeCarlo (West Islip) made nine saves in net for the victory.

Alfred State returns to action on Sunday when they host the Kangaroos from SUNY Canton.  The contest is slated for a Noon start.
