Lady Pioneers Shutout NCCC

The Alfred State women's soccer team defeated North Country CC 3-0 to secure their third straight shutout.  The Lady Pioneers are now 6-2 on the season.

Kali Muhleisen (Alfred Almond) scored a goal in each half to pace the Lady Pioneers.  She scored in the 33rd minute after getting a nice lead pass from Ally Vargeson (Addison).  She added an insurance goal when she picked off a pass and fired it in the back of the net.

Muhleisen now has 12 goals on the season.

Alfred State held a 34 to 4 shot advantage in the contest.  Krista DeCarlo (West Islip) made three saves while Emily Lapage made 18 for the Lady Saints.

The blue & gold return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Tompkins Cortland CC for a 8 p.m. battle with the Panthers.
