Delany Sets Program Record, Pioneers Finish Ninth at Brockport
The Alfred State women's track and field team finished ninth overall at the Brockport Multi & Invitational on Saturday.
Marina Miketish (Olean) started the meet off on Friday with a fourth-place finish in the pentathlon with 2313 points. She finished fourth in the 60-meter hurdles (10.65), high jump (1.44 meters (4-8 ¾)) and 800-meters (2:51.77). She jumped 4.24-meters (13-11) in long jump and threw 7.29-meters (23-11) in shot put. Miketish is now fourth on the Alfred State All-Time list in pentathlon.
Alyssa Delany (Hornell) set a new program record and finished fourth in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.69 seconds. She placed eighth in the 60-meters in 8.54 seconds which puts her eighth on the Alfred State All-Time list.
Emma Taggart (New Windsor, MD/Francis Scott Key) took fourth in high jump with a height of 1.49 meters (4-10 ½).
Katherine O'Buckley (Queens/Francis Lewis) took fifth in the 500-meters in 1:31.25.
Sarah Daunce (Clifton Springs/Midlakes) was 13th in triple jump with 9.36 meters (30-8 ½) and Lily Schnell (Olean) was 14th with 9.24 (30-3 ¾).
Nicole Hume (Alexander) threw 9.99 meters (32-09.50) in shot put to put her tenth on the Alfred State All-Time list.
The Pioneers head to Selinsgrove, Pa. on Saturday, Feb. 12 for the Susquehanna Invitational.
