Delany and Bathgate Named ASC Athletes of the Week
Alyssa Delany (Hornell) and Gavin Bathgate (East Rochester) from women's and men's track and field have been named the Alfred State College Athletes of the Week.
Delany set a new program record and finished fourth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.69 seconds. She also placed eighth in the 60-meters in 8.54 seconds which puts her eighth on the Alfred State All-Time list.
Bathgate won the 5000-meters in a time of 15:44.14 which puts him fifth on the Alfred State All-Time list. His time is the fastest Alfred State men's indoor 5k in over 20 years.
