Will Rollison Named Director of Athletic Communications

Alfred State Director of Athletics Jason Doviak announced the hiring of Will Rollison as the new Director of Athletic Communications. Rollison is an Alfred State College Alumni with years of experience in the sports information world.

Doviak spoke on the new hire, "Will is a proven professional in the athletic communications world and this was a great opportunity to bring him back to Alfred.  He worked in our department as a student and has continued to expand his skills and knowledge after graduation.  It is very rewarding when you are able to hire a former student-athlete with outstanding attributes to support our current student-athletes and staff.  We are looking forward to him joining our department."

Will Rollison's most recent experience comes from the University of the Cumberlands. He spent the last two years at UC as an Assistant Sports Information Director. Will served as the main contact for women's volleyball, men's wrestling, men's & women's swimming and diving, and baseball while assisting with archery, men's lacrosse, and women's wrestling.

Before joining UC, Rollison was the Sports Information Assistant at Waldorf University. In that role, he managed all their social media platforms, while creating and producing a social media series. In addition to serving as the main contact for men's hockey, baseball, and men's and women's basketball. In June of 2021, Rollison earned his master's degree in organizational leadership with a concentration in sport management from Waldorf.

Rollison was a four year member of the men's basketball team here at Alfred State, while also serving as a sports information intern in his senior year. Rollison spoke about his new role, "I am very excited to return home to Alfred State, it's where my journey started. I feel like it will be a great opportunity for my career in college athletics."
