Pioneer Athletes Of The Week
Alfred, NY- Nayomie Ferrer Santiago and Jazir Francois earned Pioneer Athlete of the Week honors after having standout performances last week.
Nayomie Ferrer Santiago tallied 97 assists, 29 digs, 9 aces, and 5 kills on the week. She opened the week with 28 assists and seven digs in a win over Pitt Bradford. She followed with a 40 assist 13 digs double double over Mt Aloysuis. Then Nayomie ended the week with 29 assists, nine digs, and six aces game, including the assist that pushed her passed the 2000 career assist mark.
Jazir Francois tallied four catches for 144 yards and three touchdowns in Saturdays win over Castleton. His first touchdown came off a 13 yard touchdown pass. He followed that with a 78 yard catch and run for a touchdown. His final touchdown reception came on a 47 yard catch and run.
