Pioneer Athletes Of The Week
Alfred, NY- This week's Pioneer Athletes of the Week are Men's Basketball Ryan Rosa and Women's Basketball Sarah Somers.
Ryan Rosa averaged 15 points per game on 64.7 shooting from the field this past week, helping the team secure two wins. In the first game against Pitt-Bradford, Rosa scored a season-high of 19 points and grabbed three rebounds. He followed with an 11-point game against Carlow. Rosa also grabbed seven rebounds and dished out two assists.
Sarah Somers led the Pioneers as she averaged 16.5 points per game, 12 rebound per game and shot 56.5 percent from the field. Sarah opened the week with a 23-point 14 rebound double-double against Bradford. She followed a 10-point 10 rebound game against Carlow.
