Garbowski Named Athlete of the Week
Junior linebacker John Garbowski (Mohegan Lake/Lakeland) has been named the Alfred State athlete of the week by the sports information department.
Garbowski had a big game vs. Husson on Saturday. He finished with 13 tackles (eight solo), a sack, a forced fumble, and an interception that he returned 11 yards.
On the year, Garbowski is 2nd on the team with 28 tackles (13 solo and three for a loss).
Alfred State is in action again on Saturday when they play their home opener vs. Apprentice. The Homecoming 2013 contest is slated for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
