Hutson Named Athlete of the Week

Alfred State junior guard Tommy Hutson (Brooklyn/Susan McKinney) has been named the Alfred State athlete of the week after leading the Pioneers offensive attack with 51 points in the Pioneers two games this past week.

Hutson scored 22 points on 9 for 16 shooting off the bench in the contest vs. Houghton.  He followed that up with 29 points, 23 in the road game at Davis.  He was 11 for 16 (3 for 4 from 3-point land) and added five rebounds, three steals, and two assists.

Hutson leads the Pioneers with a 15.1 points per game average.  He has connected on 48.6% of his shots,43.5% of his three-pointers, and 81.3% from the foul line.

The Pioneers are slated for three games this week.  They travel to Geneseo today, host Jamestown Olean on Thursday, and travel to Fredonia on Saturday.
