Geneseo Runs Past Pioneers

Geneseo shot 53.2% and connected on 10 three-pointers as they raced past Alfred State 117-43 on Monday evening.  The Knights improve to 5-1 on the year.

Matt Curry and Andy Drescher each finished with 16 points to lead Genseo.  Gordon Lyons recorded a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.  Six Knights finished in double figures and 12 of 13 players that saw action scored.

Jared Bard (Jordan Elbridge) came off the bench and led the blue & gold with 12 points.  Tavon Moore (Syracuse/Bishop Grimes) added 11.  The Pioneers shot just 28.8% from the field and were outrebounded 56 to 20.

The Pioneers return to the Orvis Activities Center on Thursday when they take on Jamestown-Olean.  Opening tip-off is slated for 7 p.m.
