Offensive Struggles Slow Pioneers in Finale

The Alfred State men's basketball team shot just 31% from the field and was 1 for 13 from three-point land in a 65-59 loss to SUNY Canton to wrap up the 2014 campaign.  The Kangaroos shot 38.5% from the field but connected on 7 three-pointers to improve to 9-13 on the year.

Khalil Bratton led three Canton players in double figures with 14 points.  Scott Dixon added 11 points and eight rebounds while Romario Fletcher came off the bench and finished with 10 points and eight boards. Sam Annorh passed out eight assists to go with four points and five rebounds.

Tommy Hutson (Brooklyn/Susan McKinney) led the Pioneers with 10 points while Tayon Moore (Syracuse/Bishop Grimes) finished with nine off the bench.  Thomas Stein (Caledonia Mumford) added seven points and eight boards.

After four lead changes in the first three minutes of the game, the Kangaroos took a 7-6 lead and never looked back.  Canton led 30-20 at the break and led by as many 25 in the second half.
